2021 Global Gold Forecast:
The best moving image – foreign language
UPDATED: Jan. 1, 2021
The HFPA is not limited to country submissions for the International Features category at the Oscars. This is where Sophia Loren can get recognition in the “Life Forward” acting category. Italy has submitted “Notre Dame” but it does not qualify for the Golden Globes in any category because it is a documentary feature. There was a lot of controversy over the “minaret” not being eligible to be submitted to the best photo section, which could force voters to identify it wherever they could. Still, the film is eligible for acting awards as well.
