Kate Marr and Adam Scott rose to the feature-length podcast studio section of the psychological thriller “Ghostwriter”, a “podcast movie” from C13 Features, Odyssey’s Cadence 13.
“Ghostwriter” is currently finalizing production plans and plans to make its worldwide debut on major podcast platforms on December 6, 2021.
The project is C13Features Studio’s second scripted audio feature, creating long-form podcasts in partnership with Endeavor Content. The first is “Treat”, starring a supernatural thriller Kirnan Shipka, which will premiere for Halloween on October 25th.
“Ghost Writer” follows Mara’s character, Kate Michaels, a writer who writes ghostwriting for a new novel about a mysterious killer. Since he’s collaborating with the weird millionaire behind the project (Scott), he’s becoming dependent on himself – and he’s sure something isn’t right.
“Kate Marr and Adam Scott are incredible actors, whose abilities and voices make them suitable for this multilevel thriller,” said Chris Corcoran, Cedence13’s chief content officer and executive producer / producer of C13Features.
C13Features is co-producing “Ghostwriter” with Best Case Studio, written by Alix Sobler. Marr, Scott, Corcoran and Adam Pincus of Best Case Studios will be the executive producers.
Mara’s credits include her role in Hulu’s “A Teacher”, Netflix’s “House of Cards”, “Chapaquidic” and “The Martian”. Scott has starred in “Big Little Lies,” “Parks and Recreation,” “The Good Place,” “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty,” and “Party Down,” and has starred in Ben Steeler’s “Severance” series for Apple TV Plus.
Marake has been restored by WME, Mosaic, ViewPoint, and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Darn. Scott has been re-employed by WME, Rise Management and Independent Public Relations.
