The top stars feature in an 18-strong Tamil-language film slate that will bow on Netflix after its theatrical release.
Several titles will also be made available on the service in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages.
Dream Warrior Pictures has Karthi starrer “Japan”, directed by Rajumurugan, Studio Green has Vikram starrer “Thangalan”, directed by Pa. Ranjith and Sithara Entertainments/Sreekara Studios/Fortune Four Cinemas, Dhanush starrer “Vaathi”. Venky Atluri.
Laika Productions has six films on its slate led by a project identified as “AK62”, the next of Ajith Kumar, who currently has “Thunivu” slated for release. P. Vasu’s “Chandramukhi 2,” starring Raghav Lawrence, the sequel to the 2005 smash hit starring superstar Rajinikanth, is also like their untitled 18th production, starring Vidyarth and Yogi Babu and T. Directed by Arulchezian; Their 20th production, starring Jai and Aishwarya Rajesh, directed by Rohin Venkatesan; and the 24th production featuring Bharathiraja and Arulnithi, directed by Harish Prabhu.
Suraj’s “Nai Sekar Returns”, a spin-off of Comedian Vadivelu’s character in “Thalai Nagaram” (2006) also came from Laika.
From Red Giant Movies comes “Mamannan,” starring Fahadh Faasil, Vadivelu, Keerthy Suresh and Udayanidhi Stalin, directed by Mari Selvaraj, with music by AR Rahman. K. Suresh also acted in The Root/Passion Studio’s “Revolver Rita” directed by Chandru.
Vishnu Vishal Studios has contributed two films to its lineup, both starring Vishnu Vishal – Praveen K. Directed by “Arian”; And, along with RT Teamwork, “Gatta Kusti.”
From Passion Studios comes “Eraivan,” starring Jayam Ravi and I. “Irugappatru” from Potential Studios, directed by Ahmed, starring Vikram Prabhu and Shraddha Srinath, directed by Yuvraj Dhailan.
Stone Bench Films contributed “Jigarthanda Double X”, starring Raghav Lawrence and SJ Surya, Karthik Subbaraj’s follow-up to his 2014 hit “Jigarthanda”.
YNOT Studios has “Thalaikuthal” starring Samuthirakani and Kathi directed by Jayaprakash Radhakrishnan and from Super Good Films, “Varlaru Mukkiam” starring Jeeva directed by Santosh Rajan.
