Emerging Entertainment and Peglo Pictures are hijacking “American Skyjacker: Martin McNally’s Final Flight”, a new podcast about a hijacker whose D.B. Cooper ended up in a 37-year prison sentence. The 10-part series will debut on July 21 on all platforms.
The podcast will take listeners through the late 1960s and early 1970s, a turbulent time of aviation, during which more than 300 commercial aircraft were hijacked worldwide. More than 130 of these hijackings took place in the United States. Enter a short-lived crook named Martin ‘Mac’ McNally, who dreamed of leaving the plane and fleeing with $ 500,000 in cash. Needless to say, things didn’t go as planned.
The series is hosted by Riverfront Times journalist Danny Wykentovsky, written, produced and produced by Pegalo Pictures’ Eli Kuris and Joshua Shaffer, and produced by Jason Hutch, president of the podcast division of Impressive Entertainment.
It marks the fourth series of Imperial, joining as “The Baron of Botox”, “Star Dermatologist” Dr. Frederick Brandt; “Boomtown,” a glimpse of the effects of the oil boom in a Texas town; And “Gangster House”, a portrait of a porn mogul turned into a murderer.
Impetitive Entertainment is also active in the film industry, having previously produced Clint Eastwood’s “The Mool”, Ridley Scott’s “The World in Money”, and Martin Scorsi’s upcoming “Flower Moon Killer”, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Rover. De Niro.
Pegello Pictures has sold projects to Sony Picture Television, Dimension, Eon Entertainment, USA Network, Sundance Channel, NBC International, MTV and Keshet Studios. His works include the indie film “International Waterfall” and the short-form Nor series “Nothing.”
