We hope to make a film that is as offensive as Dawn’s photography, its witnesses to extraordinary people and events, and the rise and fall of a unique era in journalism. “
McCullin said: “Looking at the last picture of Angelina in Cambodia (and having spent so much time there during the war) I was very impressed with how she presented this place so strongly and accurately at the time. .
“Don McCallin is someone for whom we have long and deep respect,” said Hardy and Baker of HSB. “His remarkable story is one of ruthless honesty, indomitable courage and boundless empathy. Angelina has designed a thoughtful approach to the material we were all looking for – relevant and compelling, morally sensitive and engaging. We are thrilled to see his vision and look forward to supporting his portrayal of a man who deserves to be remembered for his extraordinary contributions, service and lifelong work for humanity. “
