Animation Director George Guterres and Chris Pern Virtual Talk – Set Variety

Animation directors Jorge R. Guterres (“The Book of the Book”) and Chris Peren (“The Wolfbis”) will discuss their craft at the second free preview online event of the View Conference on Saturday, July 11, at 10am.

Gutierrez, who is currently working on the Netflix animated series “Maya and the Three”, and Pern, whose hit animated feature “The Wolfbis” premiered on Netflix earlier this year, are working on ways to develop and direct the animated film. .

Guterres won a character design Annie Award for the 2014 “Life Book of Life”, which was also nominated for a Golden Globe. He won the Annie and Emmy Awards for the Nickelodeon series “El Tigre: Adventures of Manny Rivera,” which he co-created with his wife, Sandra Iquihua. In addition to “Maya and the Three”, Guterres is developing a few more projects for Netflix animation.

In addition to composing and directing “The Wilfibis”, Pern directed “Club Cloud with the Chance of Meatballs 2” and the storyboard artist was “Arthur Christmas,” “Open Season,” “Shawn the Sheep Movie,” “Home,” “Single: A Star” “War Stories” and “Surf Up” among other films.
