Brussels-based sales agency B for Films has closed pre-sales for Julien Carpentier’s feature debut “La Vie de Ma Mare,” a mother-son drama starring Agnes Jauy and William Lebghill.

Out now, the heartwarming film follows Julian, a successful 33-year-old flower farmer whose life is turned upside down. When his mother Judith, whom he has not seen for two years, reappears. Mercurial and overbearing, he suffers from bipolar disorder and has recently escaped from a clinic. Pierre has only one idea in mind: get her back as soon as possible so her life can get back on track. But nothing is happening as he expected. Their unexpected reunion, as funny and explosive as it is heartbreaking, will transform Pierre and Judith forever. Allison Wheeler and Salif Sissy complete the cast. KMB will also distribute the film in France.

“La Vie de Ma Mare” is produced by Silex Films, the banner behind “Rose,” the critically acclaimed feature debut of Aurelie Saada alongside Francois Fabian and Aure Atika.

Be For Films has pre-sold the film to Canada (Axia Films Inc), Benelux (Cinéart) and Switzerland (Frenetic Films). The company held sales at the Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Paris and will unveil a promo reel at the European film market.

B for Films’ current slate also includes “Lee With Me,” Olivier Payon’s romance drama starring famous French actors including Guillaume de Tonquebec and Victor Belmondo. The movie is based on Philippe Besson’s autobiographical novel “Arrête avec tes mensonges”.

“Lee With Me” star The Tonquebec plays Stephen Belcourt, a prominent novelist who becomes the brand ambassador of a famous cognac celebrating their bicentennial. The gig took him back to his hometown for the first time in years. Once there, she meets Lucas, the son of a man she passionately loved when she was 17. Memories of this first love come flooding back to Stephen, and he and Lucas begin an unlikely romance.

Headed by Pamela Liu, B for Films is part of Playtime Group. The company’s recent hits include Eric Gravel’s social thriller “Full Time,” which sold at Music Box in the US.
