BAFTA Appoints Emmy-Winning TV Producer Krishnendu Majumdar as Chair – Variety

Emmy-winning TV producer Krishnendu Majumder has been appointed president of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, becoming the first person in color to hold the role of the youngest chair in BFTA’s 3-year history and 35 years. The decision was made at BFTA’s digital annual general meeting last night.
Majumdar was the deputy chairman for one year and his presidency will run for the next three years – the newly extended term for all future BAFTA chairs.
