Ben Affleck, tie Sheridan star ‘The Tender Bar’ first shows

There are some surprises coming up for award viewers and movie fans this Christmas. Seems to be one of George Clooney’s latest, “The Tender Bar.”

Amazon Studio will release the film in select theaters on December 1st, the studio announced on Wednesday, followed by a nationwide rollout on December 22nd. Amazon January Amazon Prime Video members will have access to this image.

Clooney is back in the director’s chair for this adaptation of JR Moehringer’s memoir of the same name. Ben Affleck has starred with Tie Sheridan (“Ready Player One”), Christopher Lloyd, and Lily Rabe (“American Horror Stories”). Oscar winner William Monagan adapted the screenplay {“The Departed”). Clooney and Grant Heslov are producing through their Smokehouse Pictures.

“The Tender Bar” tells the story of JR (Sheridan), a fatherless boy growing up in a bar where the bartender, his uncle Charlie (Affleck), is the sharpest and most colorful figure of the playful and showy father.

As the boy’s determined mother (Rabbi) struggles to give his son a chance not to give him a chance – and leaves his obscure home if the beggar-supporting father (Lloyd) – JR starts playing, if not always graciously, his romantic And the professional dream – to keep one foot constantly on Uncle Charlie’s bar.

Affleck will also star in award-winning “The Last Duel” with longtime friend and collaborator Matt Damon, Jody Kamar (“Killing Eve”) and Adam Driver (“House of Gucci”). Directed by Ridley Scott, the project opens on October 15 with Disney’s 20th Century label.
