“Matt and I are very excited for audiences to see ‘Air’ and are proud that it is the first release from Artists Equity,” Affleck said in a release. “The film was an extraordinary experience where we had the honor of working with some of the best cast and crew in the business, all of whom brought passion, perseverance and creativity to the collective effort of recreating an extraordinary and ambitious story. We appreciate and appreciate Jane Salk’s belief in our ability to direct and distribute a film we are proud of, as well as her and Sue Kroll’s support of the incredibly moving film. Amazon Studios, Skydance and Mandalay were critical to making this work and without them the film could not have been made. We appreciate and thank them for the steps they each take to make this happen. It was the best creative and personal experience of our lives and we look forward to many more like it.”
Amazon Studios will distribute the film worldwide, and Warner Bros. Pictures will handle international as part of Amazon’s distribution deal with MGM.
