Brown Media Series is launching an animation section for television, short-form content and motion pictures in response to the cessation of production of the coronavirus epidemic.
On Wednesday, Bron announced the appointment of industry veteran Jason Chen to lead digital production and technology. The company said the shutdown has delayed its theatrical performances such as “Drama” and “Ghostbusters: Outlife”, leading to the transfer of assets to new segments to ensure additional revenue flows with production finance partner Creative Wealth Media.
Aaron L., chief executive of Bron Media. “We needed to relocate,” Gilbert said. “The company has led most of its creative and production teams to create this new division and launch it now. Animation was Brown’s only field to be able to produce during this epidemic because our production team was set up remotely. We feel fortunate to be able to work through the logistics of scaling this area of our organization at this critical time. “
Chen has worked in the visual effects industry on “Avatar,” “Jojo Rabbit,” “Real Steel,” “Star Wars: Episode 7 – The Awakening of the Force,” “Bumblebee,” and “Thor: Ragnarok.”
“Current advances in virtual production-based remote workflows and real-time cinematic game engines allow Braun’s productions to be distinguished from traditional physical studio spaces,” he said. “This allows our geographically distributed creative teams to collaborate on an authentic virtual multi-user experience.”
Braun said the use of its unrealistic engine technology allows it to transform workflows with faster turnarounds. The company is producing in the eighth week of the animated series “Fables” directed by Azazel Jacobs, and will begin production of three additional animated series and digital films in the summer.
“Fictional” is created by Kevin Turen and written by Kyra Nunan. The executive producers are Turen, Chen, Ashley Levinson, Aaron L. for Brain. Gilbert and Brenda Gilbert. Jason Cloth Associate Producer of Creative Wealth Media.
Braun’s feature credits include “Joker,” “Bombsell,” “A Common Choice,” and “Fence.” Upcoming releases include “Candyman,” “Green Night,” “Fatherhood,” “Ghostbusters: Life in the Hereafter,” and “Respect.”
