Marvel Studios’ upcoming “Eternals” directed by Clov Zhao is set to be the closing film of the Rome Film Festival.
The much-anticipated third film from Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Four will have its Italian premiere on Sunday, October 2nd, ahead of the release of Rome Film Fest and its separately directed Alice Nella City Youth Films Strand, an event. Wednesday, November 3, at the Italian movie theater via Disney.
“Eternals” is set for November 5 in the United States and the United Kingdom. The film will be released on November 3 in France, Germany and Sweden.
Rome festival organizers said there would be some talent at the “Eternal” premiere, but declined to specify who. Zhao was in Italy in September to attend the Venice Film Festival as a jury member.
The latest space trip to the Marvel Cinematic Universe will follow an immortal alien race called the Eternals, who have been secretly living on Earth for thousands of years. Heroes have different strengths and abilities, including super strains and flying abilities.
A team of new, never-before-seen superheroes as heroes in the latest installment of the franchise has been forced out of the shadows to join the fight against The Deviant, the oldest enemy of humanity. They star Jema Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Leah McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridolph, Barry Keohan, Don Lee, Kit Harrington, Salma Hayek and Angelina Jolie.
This year’s Rome Festival – which will announce its full lineup on Wednesday – will celebrate Quentin Tarantino and Tim Burton with the Lifetime Achievement Award. The festival will run from 14-24 October.
