Chris Pratt has signed on to produce the action comedy “Stranded Asset” for Universal Pictures, starring Sam Richardson, who co-wrote the movie script with Jane D’Angelo.
After their successful collaboration on Amazon’s “The Tomorrow’s War”, the new project reunites the trio, who starred and starred with Pratt executive Richardson. D’Angelo Skydance was the on-set author for the science-fee feature.
Pratt will create “Stranded Assets” under the banner of his indivisible production, which has a first-look deal with Universal Pictures. Under the deal, the recently announced “Saigon Bodyguards” is undergoing indivisible and universal development, reuniting Pratt with his “Avengers” director, the Russo Brothers, and Chinese film star Wu Jing.
In addition to “The Tomorrow’s War”, Richardson had a successful summer, also starred in the hit horror comedy “Werewolves in” and the actor will later be seen in “The Afterparty” for Apple’s Lord and Miller.
Most recently, D’Angelo wrote the upcoming “Hokas Pocas 2,” which is set to begin production this autumn, and sold the untitled Aquafina and Sandra Oh-starred sister comedy on Netflix.
