Christine Ritter bought stylish modern farmhouse – variety

Kristen Ritter may be best known for her recent Netflix role as Jessica Jones, the founder of her tortured, half-retired superhero-turned-intelligence agency, but the former model has been working in the entertainment industry for over two decades, starring everything from “Veronica Mars” “From” Mona Lisa Smile “and” Breaking Bad “to” Gossip Girl “. The longevity of this type of career has led to Ritter buying a large, family-sized home in the suburbs of Los Angeles in the increasingly expensive San Fernando Valley. Property records have revealed that he and his longtime partner, acclaimed indie rocker Adam Grandussiel, wanted about $ 3.1 million for brand-new housing.
Designed in the ever-trendy, so-called “modern farmhouse” style, the Ritter-Grandusial home offers a free living with airy, light-filled interiors – with full windows and high ceilings. For good feng shui, the front door opens up to a center hall that continues from house to house.
The piano has a formal living room with a fireplace surrounded by black trim, a formal dining room, and a powder room jazz with steady mode, water-like geometric tiles. The wide blade European hardwood floors return to the kitchen, which sits in the back of the house and includes a huge island with bar-style seats, custom cabinets, a butler’s pantry and top-of-the-line Wolf and Subjiro appliances. The adjoining family room has a built-in bookshelf and another fireplace and opens up to the back yard with a huge glass pocket door.
Upstairs, the master bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, fireplace and seating area. The spa-style master bath is equipped with a dual vanity, large shower and soaking tub, and has a dual walk-in closet with custom built-ins somewhere. Other types of property amenities include four guest bedrooms – all of them bathing – an office, a bedroom and special lighting fixtures throughout the house.
And unlike other homes in this tightly packed neighborhood, the new Ritter Estate doesn’t get the blessing of a huge backyard. The flat space, however, is landscaped cleanly and simply, with a lawn and some private hedges. A dark bottled immersion pool includes an inset spa, and a covered loggia has ample space for chic outdoor recreation.
The stylish retreat is located in a particularly slim and family-friendly area of the Valley’s preferred Studio City area, close to a variety of shopping and dining destinations – L.A. Not to mention some of its best schools.
And Ritter’s new excavations represent a major upgrade from his current home: two-bedroom, 1,100-square-foot modern bungalows deep in the hills of Hollywood. Records show that in 2013 he raised that petite property for just 655,000; That house, which is valuable, was previously owned by “The Simpsons” actor Hank Azaria.
Michael Taylor of the Michael Taylor Company contained this list; Peter Lorimar of PLG Estates replaces Ritter.
