Bloody Disgusting, Horror Phantom and Entertainment Clothing was first launched 20 years ago, it is newly owned: streaming media company Synedizum has acquired Bloody Disgusting to enhance its awesome portfolio.

The cash and stock agreement did not disclose the amount Cinedigm was paying for the bloody hate, but Cinedigm said it hoped the acquisition would be immediately acceptable. The deal follows the acquisition of Syndism’s Gener subscription VOD service Screambox earlier this year.

Cinedigm Cofounders are buying bloody hate from Brad Miska and Tom Owen and their business partners Peter Lutrell and Heather Lutrell.

Launched in 2001, Bloody Disgusting began publishing movie and TV reviews in the horror genre and has since built a loyal following. According to the company, the brand reaches more than 30 million unique horror fans a year on its website, Bloody Disgusting Podcast Network, BD App and social channels. In 2011, Bloody Disgusting came into production in 2011 with the “V / H / S” series.

Last year, Cinedigm partnered with the company Bloody Disgusting TV, a free, ad-supported streaming horror channel that only aired on the Roku channel, “The Collector”, “The Hills Have Eyes” and “The Ray” -Animator, and more. .

“Cinedigm’s vision for digital expansion is what makes me confident that they are the right company to help bring a vision of bloody hatred into the new streaming generation,” Miska said in a statement. Wayne added: “Working with Cinedigm has made it clear that they share our passion for the genre. I was able to do it. ”

For Cinedigm, Bloody Disgusting is “a huge streaming opportunity,” said Cinedigm’s chairman and CEO Chris McGark. “Acquiring Screambox earlier this year and distributing hundreds of horror films and TV titles over the years, we realize the huge potential that lies within the horror genre. As one of the most enthusiastic fans, the community is largely inadequate.

McGark added that by achieving Bloody Disgusting, “We hope to create a larger, more accessible user experience for enthusiasts, where the genre can be discovered, streamed and discussed with the goal of becoming the No. 1 global streaming destination for horror fans everywhere.” . “

As part of the acquisition, the Bloody Disgusting Team will operate the Scrimbox subscription-based service. The bloody hate website will be owned by Cinedigm but will operate independently.

Cinedigm’s streaming channels will be refreshed monthly with content from both Bloody Disgusting and Screambox. The company says it will continue to acquire new core content. The first in this category is the original eight-part series “The Island”, which is the victim of a ruthless and mysterious virus centered on a remote island in the North Sea. Cinedigm has recently acquired “Brain Freeze”, which is the zoom-less favorite at this year’s Fantasia International Film Festival. Also, the company will premiere the ominous feature of “Not Alone” only on its horror channels this October.

Cinedigm’s features include a premium SVOD service and a mix of dedicated AVOD and FAST channels, including Indie Film (Fandor), Horror (Screambox and Bloody Disgusting), and Family Entertainment (Dove Channel), as well as Bob’s Eye for Bob And Elvis Presley is coming soon.
