Comedy, Family Fare Dominates Global BO for French Cinema in 2022

Comedies such as “Serial (Bad) Weddings 3” and family fare including “Peel’s Adventures” and “The Wolf and the Lion” helped foreign box office returns for French movies in 2022.

Although international ticket sales for French films were still 32.5% lower than in the pre-pandemic period, admissions achieved 167.4 million euros from 27 million admissions in 2022 – a 51.8-percent year-on-year increase.
