David Robert Mitchell works on the superhero movie ‘Heroes and Villains’ – variety

MGM bought David Robert Mitchell’s superhero project “Heroes and Villains”, with the board of directors “It Follows” and to manage from his own script.
The studio is putting a “Heroes and Villains” logline on the wrap, excluding new offers on Super Heroes. Chris Bender and Jack Weiner of Good Fear Content are also producing and casting for the film will begin soon.
“Heroes and Villains” has been identified by Mitchell and MGM’s Motion Pictures Group chairman Michael de Lusar as a reunion. De Luca Muthel produced “Below Silver Lake” with Bender and Weiner.
Mitchell-directed feature debut, “The Myth of the American Sleepover” premiered at the Southwest Film Festival, won a special Jury Award and was released in theaters in 2011 by IFC Films.
In the Critics’ Week category, his horror film “It Follows” premiered at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, was nominated for four distinct Spirit Awards, and was released on a stage in 2015 through Radius TWC, grossing ২ 23 million worldwide on a টে 2 million budget.
