Disney’s Asia-Pacific president Luke Kang and Greg Silverman, CEO and founder of Stamped Ventures, are among the top executives confirmed as speakers at the September edition of APOS. They are joined by Kong Ho-sang, CEO of South Korean powerhouse CJ ENM, and Li Kaichen, head of the regional video offshoot for Chinese giant Tencent, VTV.
The APOS conference, held in April in Bali for many years, and has always been a major industry reunion, has evolved into a series of online events under the Covid restrictions. It is managed by Singapore-based consultancy Media Partners Asia.
The upcoming edition (September 7-9, 2021) will focus on the future of telecom, media and technology content, connectivity and trade in the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East.
Other heavy hitters include Johannes Larcher, head of WarnerMedia’s HBO Max International; Simon Robinson, President, Asia Pacific and Chief Transformation Officer, Discovery; Global Video Streaming Leader YouTube’s Chief Business Officer Robert Kinkall; Jeremy Ann Gorman, chief business officer at Snap Inc.; Patrick Delaney, CEO of Foxtel, Australia; Yuan Smith, Group COO and CEO TV at Astro, Malaysia.
Roger Lynch, CEO of Condে Nast, who led the merger of different parts into a single global company, and has since established the first digital strategy in the publishing empire, will also speak. He was previously head of the US music streaming service Pandora.
Also present were Chang Kim, CEO of Tapas Media, and Lee Seung-un, CEO and founder of Ishadis.
Michael Nathanson, analyst and founding partner of Wall Street investment firm Moffett Nathanson, also returned to the conference.
