Dr. Dre Slams Marjorie Taylor Green For Using ‘Steel DRE’

1 min read

Dr. Dre expressed her feelings about Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA) using her song “Still DRE” as the soundtrack to a new video in which she celebrates her role in helping Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) finally get elected Speaker of the House – And, surprisingly, he didn’t mince words.

“I don’t license my music to politicians, especially someone as divisive and hateful as this,” the superstar producer told TMZ Monday morning.

Green’s self-promotional video immediately drew ridicule when he posted it Monday morning, with political website Mediaite saying it “left many scratching their heads.” The DRE/Snoop Dogg classic kicks off with a slow-motion video of him triumphantly walking through the halls of Congress as the familiar opening chords kick in. The video eventually includes shots on the House floor of Greene appearing to text “DT” — aka Donald Trump — in an effort to sway Republican holdouts who refused to vote for McCarthy as the four-day standoff continued.

“It’s time to start.. and they can’t stop what’s coming,” Green posted as a caption to the DRE-soundtracked video montage.

Among the scoffers was Republican gadfly Rick Wilson, who quote-tweeted Greene’s video with his own caption: “ChatGPT, show me an example of peak cringe.”

Even before Green’s first triumphant appearance in the video, it opened with a shot of a sign saying “There are two sexes, male and female!” Words carry, something that Greene clearly thinks is germane to the speaker’s fight against the wall.
