Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt Movie ‘Ball and Chain’ Lands on Netflix – Variety2 min read
Netflix has achieved a superhero movie “Ball and Chain” starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt.
Oscar nominee Emily V. Gordon (“The Big Sick”) is writing the script for Lobdale’s comic book of the 1990s. It follows a married couple who are going through the tension of the relationship who also have superiority but only when they are together do they work properly.
Johnson and Blunt recently embarked on a family adventure on Disney’s “Jungle Cruise” to be released in theaters the following year.
In addition to starring in “Ball and Chain,” Johnson and Blunt are also producing the film. Johnson’s spending of seven banners, including Danny and Hiram Garcia, will help produce Kevin Mishra as well. Labdale is co-producing with Andy Burman of Messi Films.

Johnson will later be seen on Netflix’s action comedy “Red Notice” opposite Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds.
Blunt will soon appear in “The Second Part of a Quiet Place,” directed by her husband John Krasinski. Paramount had planned to release the film on March 18, but postponed it until September 4 due to the closure of the cinema due to a coronavirus epidemic.
Gordon worked with Comil Nanjiani for the screenplay for “The Big Sick” on the Apple Award-winning TV Plus series “Little America.”
Johnson has been relocated by WME, TGC Management and Gang Tire. Blunt has been re-positioned by CAA and Sloane offers. Gordon replaces UTA and Shrek Rose.
