Helena Bonham Carter will reunite with Mili Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill for a new “Enola Holmes” mystery for Netflix.
In the series based on Nancy Springer’s favorite book, Bonham Carter plays Eudoria Holmes, the mother of the famous slutting family. The films tell the story of Anola (Brown), the rebellious teenage sister of Sherlock Holmes (Cavill), who is a talented super-slut in her own right and often smarter than her famous siblings.
Brown, Cavill and Bonham Carter starred as David Thules, Susan Wokoma, Adil Akhtar, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Hannah Dodd, Abby Horn, Gabriel Tierney and Serena Su-Ling Bliss. During the Tudum Global Fan Event on Saturday, Netflix announced that Louis Partridge would re-establish its role as Tuxbury.
Amy and BAFTA-winning director Harry Bradbear (“Flibug,” “Killing Eve”) and BAFTA and Tony-winning writer Jack Thorne (“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” “The Aronauts”) are also returning for the sequel.
Released in 2020, “Anola Homes” was a huge hit for Netflix, with Streimer reporting that an estimated one million families watched the movie within the first two days of its release.
The main photography will start in London. The film was produced by Netflix in partnership with Netflix, the first Legendary film last year, after gaining global rights outside of China.
“Anola Homes 2” is produced by legends Mary Parent, Alex Garcia and Ali Mendes. Brown and Page Brown also produce through their PCMA production shingles. Executive producers include legendary Joshua Grod, as well as Michael Dreyer, Bradbear and Thorne.
