Apparently concerts, albums, documentaries, songwriting with Mick Jagger, VMA honors and book writing aren’t enough to keep the indescribable Dave Grahal busy: now he’s touring a book.
Towards the end of this month and later, Planet will run an extremely limited intimate evening to see (and hear) her first book: “The Storyteller – Tales of Life and Music”, described as “a collection of memories of a lifetime.” Survived loudly, ”published October 5 by Day Street Books and Simon & Schuster.
Tour tickets are now on sale.
The book on the DC punk rock scene ranges from its founding year through the music of the next few decades – all of which will be announced by Grohl, in four selected cities with “some special surprises”.
All show doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Planet will appear on stage at night: 00 p.m.
Tickets for events are limited to 2 per transaction. Each ticket purchased includes “The Storyteller – Tales of Life and Music”. Each city has partners: Waterstones, The Strand, Politics and Prose, Book Soup and Burns & Noble.
“There’s a common thread that runs through everything I do: tell stories,” Grahal said. “Whether it’s a song, a documentary film or a page, I’ve always felt compelled to share some moments of my life. This trend is a big part of me getting excited creatively but also as a human being. “
In May, Grahl wrote a heartwarming essay for the Atlantic entitled “The Day the Live Concert Returns”, which served as a love letter for live music. At the same time, Grohll created an Instagram account to end his long-standing social media hibernation, ave devestrostories. The page contains a bite-sized story written by Grohl, from the time David Bowie asked him to “fuck” him until he jammed with the Prince.
