“Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater” has a long – and sometimes rocky – history. When its first installment was released in 1999, its smooth controls, impressive physics, and classic punk rock and sca-infused soundtracks drew a generation of growing skateboarding fans and created a full-fledged video game franchise.
However, the recent few entries have been well received. So when Activision announced in May that it was bringing the series back to its roots, the Internet, by remasting “Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2”, was surprisingly delighted.
For the rest, Activism reintroduces Vicarious Visions, the developer of “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater” franchise and developer of extensive history with the two in general. Diversity Vicarius Visions spoke to COO Simon Ibezar about what to expect when the game is released on September 4th.
This is a ‘high-quality trusted re-teacher’
When the title of a video game is reconsidered, a number of questions often arise: Is it a remake or a reboot? How close is it to the original? “We were a little less between the two of them because, you know, it was 20 years later and sometimes the licensees or copyright holders couldn’t be traced, or there could be a debate about who might be the right holder,” Ebager said. “But in most cases, when [the original artists] We got to know about this game and we re-arranged it, they were thrilled to be a part of it.
Too much behind the roster (but they look a bit different)
The remaster arranges for all 13 skaters to return from the original roster – but for the new pick, Victarias are now at their IRL age meaning that many of the original skaters will hit the parks in their forties and 50s, with the fact that their fanbase has grown alongside them.
