Back in April, Jeff Bezos paid a record $ 165 million for David Geffen’s famed Jack Warner estate, a 10-acre compound in the Benedict Canyon neighborhood at the foot of Beverly Hills. But that doesn’t seem to be enough space for Amazon bosses – property records show he has amassed another মিল 10 million through a trust for an adjacent property on a little-known side street.
Originally built in 1930, the two-story traditional theatrical home was designed by eminent architect Sumner Spalding and last sold in 2018 for 45 5.45 million, revealing records revealing the local developer buyer gave the place a major cosmetic refreshment gift by the same design team by Justin Bieber. The neighbor also renovated the house.
The property was never on the market, so pictures of the house and the current details are virtually non-existent. The 2018 list, however, describes the mini-estate as a “romantic pied-a-terra” with six fireplaces, a den, a media room, a library and a central courtyard. There was also a backyard vegetable and rose garden, as well as a hedged front yard and two-car garage.
It is not clear what the bases want with this property, which only divides a short hedge line with its main property. But it’s a good bet that the space could eventually be used as some sort of stylish detached home office, or an offsite finder for selected employees of the multi-level Sanchez-Bezos family activity.
As one might expect from the wealthiest people on the planet, Bezos has a well-documented alliance to buy a home for its neighbors. In the late ’90s, he acquired several properties around his Seattle estate, and he also owned four apartments in the same Art Deco-style Manhattan building, three of which were acquired from music executive Tommy Motola.
In 2014, Bezos paid an und 13 million for a house next to his former Beverly Hills complex, both of which were received by their ex-wife Mackenzie Scott in their divorce. And last year, he paid million 5 million for a house directly from his historic historic Washington D.C. palace.
