2 min read

Re-announcing their joint divorce announcement, “Madame Secretary” actor Jeffrey Arendt and longtime wife Christina Hendricks have listed their elegant Manhattan condos and sold them quickly. And back in Los Angeles, the bi-fake Arend also moved out of the couple’s Silver Lake home and bought a new residential single start in the shape of the prestigious Queen Anne Victorian style home.

According to archival records, located in one of the oldest neighborhoods in L.A., the Eas Historic Eastside Community of Angelino Heights, the $ 1.2 million Arend house was built for French-American attorney, dates back to 1893 although the exterior of the house looks very 1800s-authentic. The main features remain – crown molding, beveled wood flooring, period light fixtures – the house has also received some significant updates over the years.

Apparently, the entire Victorian-era kitchen has been replaced by a modern, Bulthap-design unit that is not only a hugely contrasting cont attractive kitchen with the rest of the house, but also features top-grade stainless appliances, a breakfast bar and custom cabinets. And in the 1980s, the previous owner installed a larger garage and added about 400 square feet of living space on the second floor of the house, according to digital marketing materials.

There’s also a stunning fireplace with original woodwork and an antique chandelier, while the octagonal front parlor can be closed with a pocket door. Officially both the dining room and the master bedroom play antique fireplaces, while the surprisingly moody master bath features slashed and built-in viewing tubs in the ’80s black tile and wood trim.

Other notable benefits include a finished attic space decorated as an artist’s loft / children’s playroom combo. Here is a car-attached garage, plus downtown L.A. There is a charming front porch with a view of the skyline. After all, the property has a convenient quick skip – by automobile – to the trendy Eatery and Silver Lake and Eco Park stores.

Craig Ekdahl of Mysner contained the list; Julie Sanders of Redfin has removed Arend again.
