Jeremy Renner at home, out of hospital after snow plow accident

Jeremy Renner is out of the hospital and back home where he will continue to recover from a serious snow plow injury. Renner confirmed the news himself in a Jan. 16 tweet where he told fans he was “so excited” to watch the season premiere of his Paramount+ series “Mayor of Kingstown” at home. diversity A rep for Renner has been tapped for further comment Paramount mentioned diversity When asked about Renner’s tweet about his exit from the hospital.

In response to a tweet from the official “Mayor of Kingstown” account that told followers the season 2 premiere is now available to stream, Renner wrote, “Beyond my brain fog in recovery, I was so excited to watch episode 201 with my family at home.”

Renner’s accident happened on Jan. 1, when he was trying to help a family member move their car out of a snowdrift. The actor’s snow plow ran him over and seriously injured him. Renner underwent two surgeries the following day for blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries. The actor’s snow plow was a pistonbulli or snow-cat, an extremely large piece of snow removal equipment weighing at least 14,330 pounds.

In a video posted on social media on January 5, Renner appeared in good spirits as he joked about having a spa day at the hospital. In the video, the actor’s eyes are swollen shut and he is seen breathing through an oxygen mask.

Renner’s family said in a statement that they want to “express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses who cared for him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, the Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hilary Shive, and the Carano and Murdock families.” The family added that they were “incredibly overwhelmed and grateful for the outpouring of love and support [Renner’s] Devoted.”

As a member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where he played Hawkeye for more than a decade, Renner has also received overwhelming support from his Avengers co-stars. Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, the Russo Brothers, Chris Pratt and more all paid tribute to Renner on social media after his accident.
