Jeremy Renner revealed in a new Instagram post that he broke more than 30 bones in a snow plow accident that left him hospitalized for blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries. Along with the information, Renner posted a photo of himself stretching his legs while receiving physical therapy at home.
“Morning workouts, resolutions all changed this special new year,” Rainer wrote in the caption. “Gone from the tragedy for my entire family, and focused on putting together love that works quickly. I want to thank everyone for their messages and thoughtfulness for my family. Much love and gratitude to you all.”
“These 30 plus will mend broken bones, grow stronger, just as love and bonds with family and friends deepen,” Rainer added. “Love and blessings to you all.”
Renner’s accident happened Jan. 1 when he tried to help move a family member’s car stuck in snow near his Tahoe home. The actor’s snow plow ran him over and seriously injured him. Renner underwent two surgeries the next day. Rainer’s snow plow was a pistonbully or snow-cat, an extremely large piece of snow removal equipment weighing at least 14,330 pounds.
After the accident, Renner frequently used social media to keep his fans updated on his health. In a video post published on January 5, Rainer appeared in good spirits as she attended the hospital and joked about having a spa day with her sister and mother. Renner’s eyes were swollen shut in the video and he was seen breathing from an oxygen mask at the time.
diversity January 17 confirmed that Rainer had left the hospital and returned home. She more or less announced the news herself when she told fans on social media that she was “so excited” to watch the season premiere of her Paramount+ series “Mayor of Kingstown” at home.
In response to a tweet from the official “Mayor of Kingstown” account that told followers the season 2 premiere is now available to stream, Renner wrote, “Beyond my brain fog in recovery, I was so excited to watch episode 201 with my family at home.”
