Jeremy Renner crash: Chris Evans, Marvel actor backs Hawkeye

Jeremy Renner’s Marvel family expressed their love and support for the hockey actor after he posted a selfie on Instagram from the hospital after his serious snow plow accident. Rainer suffered blunt force trauma to the chest and orthopedic injuries after a snow plow ran over him while trying to help a family member stuck in the snow.

“Thank you all for your kind words,” Rainer captioned a selfie from her hospital bed. “I’m too messed up to type right now. But I send you all love.”

“Get well soon buddy,” replied Chris Hemsworth, who along with Renner is one of the six original Avengers actors. “Sending love your way!”

Chris Evans, another original Avengers star wrote, “Tough as nails. love you friend.”

Chris Pratt added, “Continue to pray on your way.” Pratt leads Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise.

“All our love, brother, and hope for a speedy recovery,” posted the Russo Brothers, who managed Renner in Marvel tentpoles such as “Avengers: Endgame” and “Avengers: Infinity War.”

“My brother I love you,” wrote Taika Waititi, who directed two “Thor” films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Josh Brolin, who played villain Thanos in the MCU and fought Rainer Hawkeye, also showed support for the actor, writing, “Close but no cigar. you are blessed Get well soon brother.”

Marvel actors weren’t the only performers sending Rainer love on social media. Kate Hudson, Isla Fisher, Penelope Cruz, Jimmy Fallon, Heidi Klum, Vanessa Hudgens, Orlando Bloom and more all took to Rainer’s comments section to show their support.

Renner’s accident occurred on January 1, while on January 2 he underwent two surgeries for his injuries. In a statement to the press, Renner’s family said they want to “express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses who cared for him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, the Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hilary Shive, and the Carano and Murdoch families. They love his fans. And very overwhelmed and grateful for the support.”
