Jeremy Renner gave fans another update inside the hospital recovering from a snow plow accident that left him in critical condition. 24 hours after posting a selfie from his hospital bed on social media, Renner released his first video update from inside the hospital. The actor has a swollen eye and is seen breathing from an oxygen mask, but appears in good spirits as family members rub his scalp.
“‘Not a great’ ICU day turned into an amazing spa day with my sister and mom,” Rainer wrote in the caption. “Thank you so much.”
The accident happened on January 1 after Rainer tried to help a helpless family move their car stuck in the snow. The actor’s snow plow ran him over and seriously injured him. Renner underwent two surgeries the following day for blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries. The actor’s snow plow was a pistonbulli or snow-cat, an extremely large piece of snow removal equipment weighing at least 14,330 pounds.
January 2. In a statement to the press, Renner’s family said they want to “express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses who cared for him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, the Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hilary Schieve, and the Carano and Murdock families.” The family added. said they were “incredibly overwhelmed and grateful for the love and support from them [Renner’s] Devoted.”
As a member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where he played Hawkeye for more than a decade, Renner has been getting overwhelming support from his Avengers co-stars. Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, the Russo Brothers, Chris Pratt and more all paid tribute to Renner on social media after his accident.
