Jonathan Major’s Magazine Dreams Diet: 6,000 calories per day

If there’s one performance at Sundance everyone’s buzzing about, it’s Jonathan Majors from “Magazine Dreams.” The actor stunned Park City with his transformative performance as a toxic bodybuilding fanatic. Major appears on film as a hulking beast, the camera often lingering on his muscles for several minutes. The actor revealed at this time diversity The studio presented by Audible at Sundance spent four months eating more than 6,000 calories to transform into the character.

“I am 6 feet tall. I’m 202 pounds, Major said. “You need to eat your weight in protein to sustain and grow. I ate 6,100 calories a day for about four months. This included pre- and post-work on ‘Creed III’.

“The typical bodybuilder works out twice a day,” Majors continued. “I’m playing Killian Maddox…playing him you don’t fuck around. What ended up happening was I’d train two hours a day for the movie and the third time after wrapping for two hours. Meanwhile, you eat six times a day. Lots of chicken. Lots of elk. It’s Just for me. I like it.”

After getting jacked for “Creed III” and “Magazine Dreams,” are the majors excited to slow down in training? He’ll come back, but he won’t exactly slow down.

“I played football in Texas. I’ve got an appetite,” said Major. “I really like being physical. I like hiking and running. i have dog I’m only 33…I have to do something to keep up with it. I no longer work out three times a day. Only once a day.”
