Jude Law Disney – Play Captain Hook in Life-Action ‘Peter Pan’ iety

Jude Law may be going to Neverland. The actor is in talks to play the role of Captain Hook, the classic Disney villain in the studio’s live-action Peter Pan film “Peter Pan and Wendy”, sources said. Diversity.
“Pitts Dragon” director David Lowry is going to manage the project. Lori co-wrote the script with Toby Holbrooks and is producing Jim Whitaker.
Disney’s 1953 animated classic is still about Peter Pan. The most successful adaptation of the Barry novel is that the boy will not be old and that the children he removes to the icy magical world of Neverland. Many more studios have made their own versions on the big and small screens, including Steven Spielberg’s Robin Williams and Joe Wright’s “Pan” starring “Hook,” both of which were disappointing at the box office.
If the deal closes, Law will step in as actors starring Dustin Hoffman, Jason Isaacs and most recently Hugh Jackman, who played the role of the iconic pirate adversary in an earlier revision of the story.
Sources say the release will be in theaters and is not expected to go on the Disney Plus streaming route.
Disney is coming from a very strong year of live-action adaptations with both “Aladdin” and “The Lion King”, earning A1 billion dollars at the global box office. Disney was so happy with his “Aladdin” live-action film that it has already begun sequel development.
The law is coming out of HBO’s “The New Pope”. He was recently seen in the “Rhythm Section” of Paramount. She is ready to re-release her role as Dumbledore in the next installment of “Fantastic Beasts and Who to Theme Them”.
