Cacon: The TACAT 2020 Summer will run from June 20 to 26 and will feature live and pre-taped content on the Mant K-Pop YouTube channel.

The convention was launched in Los Angeles in 2012, just a few months after the PC’s “Gangnam Style” became a worldwide hit. The first edition attracted 12,000 curious fans. Last year’s event was attended by about 100,000 curious fans at the Staples Center from August 15 to 16, where they took a panel with Korean culture influencers, met with selected K-pop activities, and held a live concert to close the festivities. In the last nine years, Casion has expanded worldwide and has been held in France, Japan, Mexico, Australia, the United Arab Emirates and Thailand.

KCON plans to re-plan personal interviews and sessions and influencer-led panels as a digital experience using live chat, polls and VR and AR technology. Past case events have featured major break-even artists such as BTS, Monster X, and twice as many major K-Pop activities as ATIZ (pictured) and ITZY. All interactive components of KCON: TACT 2020 Summer will be available exclusively on YouTube.

The lineup for Keson’s digital event has not yet been announced but plans are afoot for about 30 artists and influential people to participate. More details of the ticket will be announced at a later date and a portion will benefit UNESCO’s Learning Never Stop campaign to help children affected by Kovid-19.
