Lady Gaga’s tears have subsided as legendary singer Tony Bennett sat down to sketch in a new behind-the-scenes video for their “Love for Sale” collaborative album. “I was thinking of making a sketch of you for the cover, a beautiful, clear picture of you,” he says.
Set in the song “I Love Concentrate on You”, Bennett beautifully sketches Gaga at the center of his “Love for Sale” artwork. “It’s beautiful, it’s very beautiful. It makes me cry, ”Oscar-winning actress Bennett said. (Click above to watch the video.)
The album features “Do I Love You”, “I Kick You Out”, “I Got It Under My Skin” and “Let’s Do It,” one of my favorite Cole Porter songs ever written.
Earlier this week, the trailer for the album released more footage behind the scenes. In that video piece, Gaga said she received a call from Bennett after the release of the 2014 album “Cheek to Cheek”, proposing another project. As Gaga recalled: “Tony called me right after. I think it was the day after the record was released. He said, ‘I want to record this Cole Porter with you.’
Nearly six years later, the two, who recently sold a pair of concerts at Radio City Music Hall in New York, are promising wax, recording the final studio of Bennett’s career and revealing the aftermath of Bennett and Gaga’s decades together – long history.
“I really want young kids to listen to jazz music because it’s important,” said Gaga, who will return to Las Vegas this month with her jazz and piano show at Park MGM. “It’s not something that should be left behind. This is something that should be covered forever. ”
