Indie Sales has signed several deals with Leah Sedaux in Bruno Dumont’s “France”, which became the world premiere in the Cannes competition and played in Toronto.
Dumont’s eleventh feature film, “France,” stars Seddox in France, a glamorous TV star, journalist, primetime news show, and chaotic family life. His crazy high-profile world suddenly overturned after a traffic accident in which he injured a pedestrian. The film also stars Blanche Guardian and Benjamin Beowulf.
Canada (K Films), China (DDDREAM), Former Yugoslavia (MCF), Germany (MFA), Greece (Strange ave eu), Italy (Academy 2), Portugal (Leopardo), Russia and Indo for CIS countries ), South Korea (M&M International), Switzerland (Adok) and Benelux (Paradiso).
The movie was previously acquired by Kino Lorber for the United States and English-speaking Canada. Several regions are still found, especially Spain.
“France” was released in France on August 25 by ARP Selection and grossed over $ 500,000 at the local box office. The film will be screened at the New York and Busan Film Festivals next time.
Although “France” proved to be a divisive ear, it achieved some tough reviews, including Diversity Which described the movie as “the most biting and sarcastic satire to premiere in the ear.”
The Paris-based organization 3B Productions has produced the film with Red Ballon in Italy and Scope in Belgium.
