Lil Nass X will be the first artist to drop the official Tiktok NFT

TickTock’s first officially NFT collection, “Top Moments of TickTock”, which will run in October – will begin with digital collectibles from Lil Nass X.

The six tic-tac-toe videos in this collection will be inspired by a kind of NFT and a series of short version NFTs from the short-sized video platform to the cultural moment. NFTs provide a way to verify ownership of digital content using distributed blockchain technology – basically, they’re like virtual versions of physical collections like artwork.

Lil Nass X is the first producer to launch one and limited edition TickTock NFT with artist Rudy Willingham, which will go on sale on October 6th.

The single version will feature Rudy Willingham’s stop-motion video of Lil Nass X Tiktok NFT artist “Montero (Call Me Your Name)”. Each of the 11 frames of the TickTock video (see it at this link) features Willingham’s signature cutout, taking a background photo that “reflects a different part.” [Lil Nas X’s] Talent, ”according to Tic Tac Toe.

Other producers releasing Tiktok NFT are Bella Poirch, Curtis Roach, Brittany Broski, FNMeca, Jess Markiante and Gary Weinerchuk, who have partnered with NFT artists including Coin Artist, XR, RTFKT and Grimes.

Single-version NFTs will be made available in the Ethereum blockchain, and limited-edition NFTs will be powered by unchanging X, which claims to be Ethereum’s first carbon-neutral layer 2 scaling solution. A series of weekly drops will take place at the end of the month through a dedicated section of the immutable site, after which NFTs can be sliced ​​and traded on Immutable X.

According to TickTock, the proceeds from NFT sales will “basically” go directly to manufacturers and NFT artists involved or charities.

“As the creator economy continues to grow, we are constantly looking for new and different ways to support our creators,” said Nick Tran, Global Head of Marketing at TickTock. “Now, fans can own tickets to a moment that helped shape the Internet while supporting some of their favorite manufacturers.”

Each tic-tac-toe video in the collection will be presented at “Infinite Duets: Co-Creating Tickets”, a new exhibition at the Moving Image Museum in Queens, New York, starting October 1 and November 5.

Earlier this week, Tiktok announced that it topped the list of 1 billion monthly active users worldwide.
