Loretta Lynn has announced that she will be making her way – protesting the classic song “Still” from an upcoming album such as “Still of Way of the Way”, “You’re Not Enough Women Now” and “Hanky Tank Girl”. Enough. “While this is not a remake or a strictly albums of duets, the March 19 release will feature Carrie Underwood, Margo Price, Tania Tucker and Reba McIntyre as special guests.
“Still enough women is enough” may be the title, as it refers to one of her autographed songs, “You’re not enough women”, but it shares a title with her second memoir, published in 2002. The title track released on the album is a new composition, although Lynn’s daughter Patsy co-wrote Lynn Russell and starred as a trio with Underwood and McEntry.
The other two duets of the revised album in the classic Lynn area – the closest, a duet with Tucker, and a revision to the 1971 Shell Silverstein-Pend comedy song, “Going One Way,” paired with Price.
“I am very grateful that some of my friends joined me on my new album. “We girls live together,” Lin said in a statement announcing the project. “It’s amazing how much has happened since the first release of ‘Coal Mine Daughter’ in fifty years, and I’m extremely grateful to be part of the history of American music.”
Lynn returns to her catalog to recite the spoken words of “Coal Miner’s Daughter” – a music video for the track was released Monday morning (see it below) – and a new rendition of her 1960’s breakout single, “Honky Tank Girl”. ”
Other tracks include a version of his Carter family’s “Heavy The Sunny Side” – Approse, John Carter and John Carter’s son John Carter Cash co-produced the album with Russell – “Old Kentucky Home” with Stephen Foster, “Hank Williams” “I Light” Saw “and Gospel Standard” I no longer feel at home. “New recordings of two little-known Lynn catalog compositions,” My Love “(since 1968) and” I Want Free “(1971).
Together with the new project, a 50th anniversary vinyl version of the “Coal Mineral Daughter” album will be released on February 12th.
While it’s hard to keep a close eye on official disography, with “Still Women Enough” being billed as Lane’s 50th studio album, no duet projects with Twitter are being counted. This is the fourth time for Sony Legacy to make a good career renaissance with his 2004 Jack White-produced album “Van Lear Rose”.
