Since Broadway’s premiere in 2015, “Hamilton” has always been a hit with theatrical crowds, but the release on Disney Plus left it open for more people to enjoy. Instead of paying hundreds or thousands of dollars to see the hip hop on stage, viewers can get the best seat in the house and watch it from the comfort of their own home for the price of a Disney Plus subscription.
Many of the “Hamilton” cast members have had successful careers in film and TV. Producer Lynn-Manuel Mirander, along with “Crazy Rich Asians” director John M. Chu, is adapting the “In Heights” movie for a theatrical release next year. Starring John Lawrence and Philip Hamilton, Anthony Ramos will star in the film, whose “Hamilton” fans should have already ordered their tickets.
David Diggs, who won Tony for the dual role of Marquis de Lafayette and co-founder father Thomas Jefferson, starred in TNT’s new series “Snow Pierce” based on the Bong Jun Ho movie of the same name.
After starring as King George, Jonathan Graf released two hit seasons in Netflix’s dark crime thriller “Mindhunter”, produced by Oscar-nominated director David Fincher, in the show, although it is currently held indefinitely. She also lent her voice to Princess Anna’s loving boyfriend Christoph in Disney’s “Ice Cool” and “Ice Cool”.
