Lyricist Diane Warren BMG signs plan to release album – Variety

Diane Warren, who for many years was the purest example of a lyricist working in the modern era, has a worldwide publishing contract with BMG, which will manage its relational catalogs outside the United States and Canada.

A recording deal has also been made later in the deal with plans to release an album of recent Warren songs recorded by various artists in BMG’s label division in 2020.

“I love the BMG team,” Warren said in a statement announcing the deal. “They ran and hit the ground. There’s already a lot going on that I know this year is going to be amazing. Every day he writes new smog hit songs. ”

On Warren’s upcoming album, Scherer’s New York counterpart John Loffler said, “The world-famous lyricist, honored by every imagination, Diane never actually put her own name on the cover of any album. Featuring who among the A-list artists is collaborating and editing his new songs, this album is so successful that it is a groundbreaking record. Fans will remember these songs forever and we are thrilled to be a part of this historic release.

(Her name was on Warren’s previous album – “Love Songs Presented by Diane Warren” – but unlike the new album, it was a collection of hits released by superstars and was not widely distributed in America.)

In addition to his film contributions, which have been recorded by Aerosmith, Lady Gaga, Leanne Rhymes, Celine Dion, Common and others, Warren Tony Braxton’s “Un-Break My Heart” is known for tearing pieces to pieces in C time and Christina Aguilera “I’m back to you. Nine of her songs went to number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and she has won five Emmy, one Grammy and one Golden Globe, as well as being a five-time ASCAP pop lyricist. The new deal puts the 12-year-old BMG, the world’s fourth-largest music publisher, in business with the world’s largest female-owned music publishing company, as RealSongs describes.
