Mahesh Babu, Chiranjeevi Headline 16-Strong Netflix Telugu Film Slate

A 16-strong Telugu-language film slate features a galaxy of stars that will bow on Netflix after their theatrical release.

Netflix released the title on January 14, a day celebrated in many parts of India as Sankranti or the Pongal harvest festival, a time when big-ticket films are released. Several titles in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada will also be made available on the service.

Mahesh Babu headlines Harika & Haasin Creations project directed by Trivikram Srinivas and starring Pooja Hegde which is currently known as “SSMB28”. Megastar Chiranjeevi, whose “Waltair Veeraiya” is currently in theaters, stars in AK Entertainment’s “Bhola Shankar” directed by Meher Ramesh and starring Tamannaah Bhatia and Keerthy Suresh.

“Baahubali” star Anushka Shetty is leading the UV Creations production no. 14, Mahesh Babu p. Directed and starring Navin Paulishty, and Netflix will also stream the company’s untitled film, which is actor Kartikeya Gummakonda’s eighth, directed by Prashant Reddy.

Ravi Teja stars in People Media Factory and Abhishek Aggarwal Arts’ “Dhamaka,” directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina, while Sundeep Kishan stars in Studio Green’s “Buddy,” directed by Sam Anton.

Mithri Movie Makers is contributing two films to the lineup – Nandamuri Kalyan Ram directed by Rajendra Reddy and “Amigos” starring Ashika Ranganath; And alongside Clap Entertainment, Kiran Abbavaram starrer “Meter” directed by Ramesh Kaduri.

Sithara Entertainments has three films in its lineup – along with Fortune Four movies, “Batta Bomma” starring Anikha Surendran, Surya Vasishtha and Arjun, directed by Shouri Chandrasekhar Ramesh; A project alongside Srikara Studios currently identified as “PVT04”, directed by Panja Vaishnav Tej and Srikanth Reddy starring Srileela; and “Tillu Square”, directed by Mallick Ram and starring Sidhu Jonalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran, alongside Sreekara Studios and Fortune Four Cinemas.

Sri Venkateswara Cine Pictures LLP has two titles – “VT12,” starring Varun Tej, directed by Praveen Sattaru; And alongside Sukumar Writings, Sai Dharam Tej directed by Karthik Varma Dandu and “Virupaksha” starring Samantha Menon. Sukumar Writings, GA2 Pictures and Allu Aurobindo Presents have “18 Pages”, directed by Surya Pratap Palnati starring Nikhil Siddharth and Anupama Parameswaran.

Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinema also has two titles – their untitled sixth production starring Naga Shaurya, directed by Pawan Basamsetty; and Nani directed by Srikanth Odela and “Dashara” starring Keerthy Suresh.
