Palm Springs Shortfest has announced in its official selection a slate of 332 films that will be eligible for jury consideration, including Mandy Moore starrer “I Lost My Mother’s Ashes”; Kevin right “in Josiah”; And Maya Rudolph, J. Ellis and Loris Hawkins in “Thirsty.”

Shortfest will screen a portion of the selected films from June 16 and will be published on its website for free through June 22.

“We are proud to share what our filmmakers have done to make their films and what our staff has done to make ShortFest happen,” said artistic director Lily Rodriguez. “No one imagines starting a film festival during an epidemic, let alone a politically charged and urgent one.
