Mel Gibson reacted sharply to Winona Ryder’s explosive claim that the Oscar-winning actor and director had made anti-Semitic and bigoted remarks and falsely accused “unknown subjects” of interacting with the stars.

“This is 100% untrue,” a Gibson spokesman said in a statement. Diversity. “He lied about it a decade ago, when he spoke to the press, and now he’s lying.”

Ryder accused Gibson of making anti-Semitic and anti-gay remarks in a recent interview with the Sunday Times. He has told similar stories in the past, including the 2010 GQ profile.

“We were at a crowded party with a good friend of mine,” he told this Telegraph reporter. “And Mel Gibson was smoking a cigar, and we were all talking and he was talking to my friend, who is gay, ‘Oh wait, can I get AIDS?’ And then something was revealed about the Jews and he said, ‘You’re not Owen Dodger, are you?’ “

Ryder added that Gibson later “tried” to apologize to him in his comments. A Gibson spokesman said this was not true.

“He lied that he had tried to apologize to him behind his back,” the representative said. “She reached out to him many years ago to confront him about her lies and he refused to reveal it to her.”

Arrested for a DUI in 2006, he told police that Gibson’s one-time red-hit career had frozen and told police that “Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world!” He also used racist slogans in audio recordings of fights with his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, which was published by RadarOnline in 2010. Gibson’s professional life has been restored after being dropped from the A-list. He was nominated for an Oscar for directing the 2016 war film “Hacksaw Ridge” and appeared in the hit film “Father’s House 2”.

A spokesman for Ryder did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
