Michael Porcerid has stepped down as CEO of auto producer SF Studios

Michael Porcerid is stepping down as CEO of SF Studios, the Nordic powerhouse behind the Tom Hanks-starrer “A Man Called Auto.” The departure comes as a shock to the SF studio, where employees were informed of his departure minutes before the announcement was delivered.

SF Studio’s chairman of the board, Jan Bernhardson, will serve as interim acting CEO. Board of Directors of the company Now the new CEO is starting the hiring process.

“I want to thank Michael Porcerid who, during his six years as CEO of SF Studios, led the transformation of the business from a distribution-focused company to strengthening its production business,” said Bernhardson.

“The transformation has been successful and recently culminated with the premiere of ‘A Man Called Auto’, the English version of the Swedish ‘N Man Some Hater Ove’. SF Studio is now entering a new phase where the company will take the next step in its strategy. The aim is to scale up the operation further,” added the executive.
