Writer, producer and founder of the Phenomenal Woman Action Campaign, Meena Harris will direct a new documentary film “In Her Element”.
Reese Witherspoon’s media company Hello Sunshine and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise’s 0-minute photo inspires three women to use pioneering technology to move their field forward and join the next generation of women by breaking barriers. Harris will lead the conversation, joined by Aisha Boye, a rocket scientist, Laura Escudes, a music engineer, and Susie Wolf, a team racing team principal.
Kate Kunath is going to manage. Harris will lead the discussion on the impact of women’s work, how they have advanced their careers and where they are going. The film tries to encourage others to follow their dreams, even when they are outside the norm, and shows what is possible when a woman believes in herself.
“It was a real honor to have conversations with these inspiring women. Their impact on their chosen art is immense and the footprints they will leave for future generations are amazing,” said Harris. Dreams are never out of reach. “
Sophisticated XR, illustrated with “augmented reality” technology, the physical background of the interview is a submerged screen where documentary elements are deployed and communicated to illustrate, context and encourage the conversation. The XR set breaks down what is traditionally seen as a stage and promotes the film within itself, allowing the conversation to take on another world.
“In His Element” will stream on-demand in January 2022. Watch the trailer above.
