Pixar’s upcoming animated movie “Soul” has released a new teaser trailer.
This minute-long teaser features a typical day in Joe’s life, with the main character voiced by Jamie Foxx, a middle school band teacher.

Joe dreams of becoming a jazz performer but an unexpected accident separates his soul from his body before he gets his big break. He then moved to The Great Four, a great place where new creatures gain their personality, curiosity and interest before they go to earth. There, he teamed up with a co-soul named 22 (voiced by Tina Faye). The pair worked together before it was too late to bring Joe’s soul back to earth in his body.
Filmmakers from “Soul”, including director Pete Doctor, co-director and screenwriter Kemp Power, and producer Dana Murray, American anthropologist and educator Dr. Public leader Cole and world-renowned jazz pianist John Batist have partnered to offer this peek into the film. A part of the Ascension Festival of Culture during the virtual panel.
The trailer also features the song “Parting Ways” which was composed, produced and served by Cody Chessnut. Dr. Cole and Batiste, who gave his expertise in jazz formatting and compositions in “Soul”, have acted as the film’s cultural consultants.
After the original June release date was delayed by the coronavirus epidemic, “Spirit” will be released on November 20th.
