Podcast Academy Ambis Nominations 2023 Announced (Full List)

Listen! The Podcast Academy announced the nominees for its third annual Awards for Excellence in Audio — aka The Ambiz — with 185 nominees in 26 categories.
Hosted by producer, writer, comedian, actor and podcaster Larry Wilmore, the 2023 Ambis will take place on March 7. The show will be streamed live from the International Theater at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino on Twitch’s Amazon Music Channel from 6-7:30pm PT.
Among the 2023 nominations were a total of three nominations: “Bone Valley” (Lava for Good); “Direct Deposit” (Audible); “Fiasco: The AIDS Crisis” (Audio); “last known location” (QCode); “Recovered: The Story of Mamie Till-Mobley” (ABC News); and “Moriarty” (audible). Among the first-time Ambis nominees are CNN’s Anderson Cooper (“All I Do Is With Anderson Cooper”), Cicely Strong and Eric Austin (“Story Pirates”), Cole Sprouse and Sarah Yorkin (“Boraska” Season 2), JB Smoove ( “Funny (My Way”) and Rory Culkin (“Outliers”).
The Ambies (ambies.com), according to the Podcast Academy, “celebrate excellence in podcasting and raise awareness and status of podcasts as a unique and personal medium for entertainment, information, storytelling and expression.” Organization members are eligible to vote for this year’s winners if they submit applications by February 1 (more info at this link).
