Property Brothers bought Brentwood House for .5 9.5 million

Canadian HGTV stars Jonathan and Drew Scott have been investing in real estate for more than two decades, starting with a modest ,000 200,000 cottage they bought directly outside of high school. Property records now reveal the 42-year-old identical twin, whose Hatifine “Property Brothers” home improvement empire includes several TV shows, web series and original music, has achieved their biggest project to date: the সাই 9.5 million estate in Westside, Brentwood’s LA neighborhood.

While this is different from what anyone would consider cheap, the new Scott Estate was not very subtly marketed as a very A-list fixer-top or teardown; The “Trophy Property” list has a great 1930s mansion that can be “renovated or replaced” per

Specifically, the property consists of two adjoining Mandeville Canyons in Brentwood, a sprawling original home in a larger parcel combined with about one acre of flat land, originally designed by acclaimed Old Hollywood architect Gerard Colcord, designed in a sprawling East Coast Colon colonial-style estate. The brick porch and jade green shutters are provided in stark contrast to the milky white siding of the house.

Inside, compassionate formal spaces include a dining room with wainscotting and original French door set, a livingroom / sunroom combo with fireplace, a research and kitchen with a full retina of restaurant quality stainless equipment. An upstairs master suite with its own fireplace features garden views and the entire 6,000-square-foot mansion is well maintained.

The second parcel contains a full-size, north / south-facing tennis court, guesthouse, gazebo, and a brick sunburth enclosure around a pool, both enhancing the atmosphere, much like a bookish park, shaded by shimmering liquid amber and shaded by native psychomorphic trees. The estate was sold by an unnamed family who seems to have owned the parcels for more than 20 years.

The Scots would inevitably want to renovate the complex at least in their signature style. And they’ve got time – the pair recently got their contemporary design stamp stamped on L.A. Putting on their own two-sided house in the Windsor Square neighborhood, the third Windsor Square property also appears to have a share of their ownership, a renovated mansion has recently been listed with a price tag of nearly মিল 1 million.

But their new Fixer-Opar will present a completely different kind of challenge, one where they are far more than partners in any project they have tackled to date. Brentwood is one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Los Angeles, and . These depend on how extensively (and expensively) they choose to upgrade their new excavations. One thing is for sure – all the drama will make for great TV.

Mary Lou Toothil contained the list; Canon Earl of Campus removes Scots again.
