Qcode, Vertigo Entertainment Team ‘The Burned Photo’ Horror Podcast

Podcast and Media Studio Quocode Vertigo Entertainment, the production company behind the movie “It”, teamed up for the horror podcast series “The Burned Photo”.

Sharmin Bingwa (“The Good Fight”) and Katherine McNamara (“The Flash”) star in this thriller, created by author Nicole Exposito and based on the Reddit / NoSlip subredit. It will premiere on all major podcast platforms on September 30, with the first three episodes available immediately and exclusively for QCode Plus subscribers ($ 2.99 / month) on Apple podcasts. The “burned picture” follows two strangers (Bingwa and McNamara) who uncover the curse of a generation responsible for years of misfortune, suffering and death on their families. When they dig deeper into their lineage, women quickly realize that they need to work together to end the mysterious curse before their blood lines remain.

Exposito wrote a seven-episode series with director Jeremy Novik (“Blackout”) and Quinn Perry. “It was an amazing, humble experience,” Exposito said. “I’m very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with so many talented people: Jeremy and Quinn, Vertigo and Quicode’s team and brilliant cast.”

Roy Lee, founder of Vertigo Entertainment, added: “The opportunity to partner with Qcode is something we were interested in doing and we couldn’t be more excited that it happened because of Nicole’s incredible short story. Horror fans and scripted podcast fans are there for a real invitation. ”

Exposito and executive produced by Vertigo Lee and Angus McLean are Rob Harting, David Henning, Sandra Yeh Ling and Michelle Zarate at Quocode.

In addition to Bingwa and McNamara, the cast of “The Bernard Photo” includes Ellen Warr (“For All Mankind”), Bartila Damas (“Eymarder”), Luke Spikeman (“Amazing Story”), and Austin Kane (“Spirit Riding Free: Riding”). “Academy”), Eliza Prior (“Tim Kylie”), Jamal Avery Jr. (“Her Only Choice”), Justin Reid, Charisma Carpenter (“Pandora”), Sibongail Malambo (“Roswell, New Mexico”), Christian de la Fuente (“El juego de las llaves”) and Kenya Kabilan (“Gray’s Anatomy”).

Exposito is an LA-based author whose work has been featured in Fangoria Magazine and featured on various YouTube channels and podcasts, including Mr. Cripipasta, the horror story Told in the Dark and Horror Babes.

Quocode, launched in 2019 by former CAA agent Rob Harting, has released fourteen scripted podcasts to date, including “Blackout” (starring Rami Malek); “Dirty Diana” (starring Demi Moore); “Left, Right Game” (starring Tessa Thompson); And “Hank the Cowdog” (starring Matthew McConaughey).

Vertigo Entertainment recently created Little Marvin’s Amazon Anthology series “Theme: Covenant.” In addition, Vertigo is behind Paramount Plus’ recent limited series “The Stand” based on the novel Stephen King.
