Podcast and Media Studio Quocode Vertigo Entertainment, the production company behind the movie “It”, teamed up for the horror podcast series “The Burned Photo”.
Sharmin Bingwa (“The Good Fight”) and Katherine McNamara (“The Flash”) star in this thriller, created by author Nicole Exposito and based on the Reddit / NoSlip subredit. It will premiere on all major podcast platforms on September 30, with the first three episodes available immediately and exclusively for QCode Plus subscribers ($ 2.99 / month) on Apple podcasts. The “burned picture” follows two strangers (Bingwa and McNamara) who uncover the curse of a generation responsible for years of misfortune, suffering and death on their families. When they dig deeper into their lineage, women quickly realize that they need to work together to end the mysterious curse before their blood lines remain.
Exposito wrote a seven-episode series with director Jeremy Novik (“Blackout”) and Quinn Perry. “It was an amazing, humble experience,” Exposito said. “I’m very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with so many talented people: Jeremy and Quinn, Vertigo and Quicode’s team and brilliant cast.”
