Robert Pattinson and the HER Academy are helping the Museum of Motion Pictures open its doors.
At a party marking the opening of the Los Angeles Museum on September 29, museum director and president Bill Kramer and Vanity Fair senior West Coast editor Brit Henemuth and two vice presidents of the premiere.
Invitations for the ride on Wednesday afternoon began to hit email inboxes.
The organizing committee is a long list of Marquis, including Ariana Debos, Jacob Allardy, Laura Harrier, Edgar Ramirez, Natasha Leone, Victor Rasuk, Joey Chao, Gia Coppola and Jui Desnell. Also on the list are director Lulu Wang and Channing Godfrey Peoples, fashion designers Mike Eckhouse and Joe Lotta, Kate & Laura Lullivi, Jeremy Scott and Jason Woo, “Rupel’s Drag Race” star Simon, costume designer Arian Phillips, photographer Amanda, and photographer Amanda. Artists Eddie Samuel, Simon & Nicky Hass, Glenn Kaino, Kenny Gravilis, Nadia Lee Cohen, Alex Israel, hairstylist Mia Neal and architect Kulapat Yastrast.
The dress code for the three-hour ceremony presented by Rolex is “Cocktail Dress”.
Four nights ago, on September 25, the opening ceremony will honor Sophia Loren, Hale Germany and museum supporters Tom Hanks, Annette Benning and Bob Eger. A separate celebration will be held on September 29th.
The museum, located in the former May Company building in Los Angeles, on the corner of Wilshire and Fairfax Boulevard, will be open to the public.
The inaugural programming at the museum includes two screenings of “The Wizard of Oz” on the opening day of the American Youth Symphony. More than 115 screenings, discussions and programs will be offered in the first three months of the museum’s opening.
