A stage musical adaptation of the Oscar and BFTA-nominated original screenplay by Noler Efron, David S. Ward and Jeff Arch, “London World Premiere”, the cast will move forward with a fast, responsive COVID-19 testing system for musicians, rehearsals and showcases. And theater staff.
The test, called FRNKD (Quick, Reliable, Accurate, Nucleic-Based Kit-CVD-19 Diagnostic Detection Kit), will be conducted on site, as the technology does not require any laboratory. Test results will be sent directly to Crab, Cast and Staff phones via a secure app within one hour of taking a sip.
“We’re thrilled to be on our way to the industry and to be the first fully staged, indoor musical backup and running, and we’ve been working around the clock to make this possible,” said Michael Rose and Damien Sanders of Encore Theater Productions. Producer of “Sleeping”.
“This technology is currently being tested by airports, government departments, sports teams and multinational companies in the United States, and we are pleased to be the first to judge the system in the theater and live event industry.”
FRNKD was developed by Genime of Poland and the results are provided through the Yoti app in the United States.
The book “Sleepless” is by Michael Bardet with music and lyrics by Robert Scott and Brendon Cool. It will feature a 12-piece jazz orchestra. Directed by Morgan Young (“White Christmas”), the cast includes Jay McGuiz, Kimberly Walsh and Daniel Casey.
“Slipless” will premiere at the Wembley Park Theater in Troubadour, London on August 1, with a preview of August 25. Aud audiences will be socially distant and the producers and venue will follow COVID-protected guidelines for the cast, crew and audience.
The show has seemed a bit unfocused in recent episodes, however;
