Shannon Murphy about making a movie about teens for adults –

“BabyThith” follows a medically ill teenager who falls in love with a local drug dealer and although it’s teen-centric, it certainly doesn’t need to be noticed, director Shannon Murphy told Carylove Variety at the International Film Festival Corner Corner.
“I certainly didn’t want to make a tin film,” he said. “I mean, my goal was for teens to see it and feel so presented in so many ways. The bottom line is that when you were a teenager, you weren’t watching teen movies, you were watching adult movies. As such, it’s the whole point of being a teenager.
“So that’s the thing: I think in many ways it’s the perfect teen movie, because it’s not for you, it’s for the elderly.” “And that’s what you’re noticing.”
